Hi there, David.
Thanks for your response. I just want to confirm - was it Joseph or was it Raymond who passed away? (The first msg said that Joseph had died, the second msg says that Raymond had died. or did they BOTH die?)
Also, would you let me have Joe's telephone number, please, or his email address? Thanks.

Sorry to hear about this, but he's done his bit and gone to God.
May he rest in peace.
I've updated the database.
David - do you have any contact info for the Mekdessie guy (there apparently were 3 of them - Joseph, Michael and Raymond) and we'd sure like to know what's going on with them.
Thanks for the note, guys.

Well we did put out the call, it took some time, but if you wait long enough, some thing will happen.
Yes I am believer, so what I read, do not shock me.
You asked my brother and your prays were heard.
You know that you are on a sacred site, right ?
God Bless Glen

First of all I would like to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2009 with good health and lots of luck.
Thank you once more for your continuous and effective efforts to keep us old MSB boys not only informed about one another but making all the possible arrangements to re-create old ties of friendship that last for a life time.
I was very glad to have been able to visit you and all the other MSB in February of this year upon my visit to Caracas. It is a very special sensation to get together with old friends, many of whom one hasn't seen for many many years and in spite of that one feels that the ties of friendship have not been affected in any way by the years.
Keep up the good work
Un abrazo
Csaba

Hi Ladislao,
Hope you and your family are well.
We are okay here, not too cold but by Wednesday it will be colder.
Neil told me you asked for me so since is Christmas time, I wrote and also to wish you and your family a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A BRIGHT AND HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009.
I was in Trinidad in September and had a good time.
I went to Mount St Benedict too, those were nice days in my brother time and I guess with you too when you were there.
Well take care
Rhoda

Hello, Anthony.
Thanks for the info.
I've added your name to the database and you therefore shall begin to receive emails from the Old Boys of Abbey School, scattered wherever we happen to exist on earth.
I have no way of telling you who will contact you, but in the meantime, would you please tell me what year/s you attended MSB and in which country you now live?
Thanks again.
Gregory - thanks too, for passing on my request to Anthony. I appreciate the help.

Hello Ladislao,
I have finally figured out how to share the photos from the Reunion.
They are in the most recent album on the website: idmitch.winkflash.com
Please let me know if you have any difficulty viewing and downloading them.
Don
PS: The latest statistic from the blog of your 2008 circulars shows that this week had 82 visitors. They viewed two pages, on average. That probably means that the visitors came to the website on average once every two weeks. They were looking at the two circulars they had missed. That means that possibly 160 different persons visit the site every two weeks. Congratulations!

FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD...
GEORGE MICKIEWICZ ...

Continuing to reflect on unique aspects that I experienced at MSB, the topic of food comes to mind:
* Seems that the quality was not "home" grade
* The soft drinks produced at the mount were not very good to my recollection; did like the orange flavor
* Buying freshly baked, hot bread from one of the brothers who baked it
* "Ketchup" sandwiches - putting ketchup on bread without anything else
* Holiday lunches when special meals were prepared; we always got apple cider and special desserts on those occasions
* Calaloo, roti and other Trinidadian food specialities and delicacies
* Buying candy from the little store ran by Joe Azar... remember Smarties and Cadbury chocolates
* Going to POS and heating hamburgers and banana splits at the counter of HILO?......... (do not remember the name of the supermarket)
* Peanut butter, honey and other food brought to the table by one of the boys from Trinidad..... hhmmm good!
* "Obtaining" mangoes, cocoa, oranges and grapefruit from the different groves around MSB
* Being able to get chocolate milk or an egg daily if your parents paid extra for it
* Sneaking out to the little store below the field to buy candies and other stuff
* Shaved ice with different liquid concentrate flavor options and condensed milk sold by Mr. Thomas and his wife at the field
* A special treat was to buy in POS on Saturday a rotisserie chicken which one would eat while watching the movie that evening....... amazing how many "friends" would surround you
* Buying ice cream and other stuff at the MSB store relatively close to the Guest House; do not remember what it was called.
* The very special occasions when different food booths or tents would be set up and the aroma of the various cuisines made your mouth water
* The special rice dish with all sorts of good things in it that we ate when we went to the beach; a kind of paella
(The shaved ice was placed in TENNIS ball containers, in the 1960s metal cans. Editor)
